JBS receives SATISFACTORY rating from DOT
The U.S. Department of Transportation conducts periodic audits of all U.S. Motor Carriers. This is to ensure that trucking companies are operating within the safety specifications outlined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA). The last time JBS had an audit was in December 2000.
To understand the importance of this, there are only three ratings granted by the USDOT: (1) Satisfactory, (2) Conditional, and (3) Unsatisfactory. Most shippers will only conduct business with motor carriers that have a Satisfactory rating.
JBS President Alec Gizzi announced, “Due to the combined efforts of our local and over-the-road drivers, our in house mechanic shop, our dispatchers, and especially our Safety Director Rita Esposito I am happy to announce that: JBS Transportation has been awarded a Satisfactory Rating by the USDOT.”
